Kevin Klaas


Kevin is the founder of Monarch Solutions, and has worked in the insurance arena for almost 2 decades. He graduated from Judson University in 2002 with a degree in Business Finance. Kevin and his beautiful wife, Jennie, have six children: Gabriel, Vienna, Ellis, Janelle Joy, Jude and Liam Brave. He enjoys water skiing, studying the Bible, hunting and fishing and vacationing on a beach with his bride!

Gray Mills

Lead Advisor & Business Development

H. Gray Mills holds extensive leadership experience, having served as president for numerous Fort Worth-based organizations, including the Association of Life Underwriters, the Business and Estate Council, the Chapter of American Society of Life Underwriters, and the Million Dollar Round Table. An accredited Chartered Life Underwriter, he began his financial career in 1977 with the Mills Financial Group, where he specialized in estate planning, business insurance, and employee and executive benefit plans. A longtime member of PartnersFinancial, Gray has always played an active role in his community. A past board chairman of Baylor All Saints Hospital Foundation and Citizens Bank, he has also served on the boards of the Juliette Fowler Home, the Gill Children’s Service Center, and the Fort Worth Academy. As past president of the Fort Worth Breakfast Club, Gray is proud to have also served on the board of the local ALS support group. Gray is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Having lettered in football and baseball, he went on to attend graduate school at George Washington University. Gray is an Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Today, he lives with his wife, Nelda. They have two children, Kyle and Kristen, and two grandchildren, Holt and Clark.

Louisa James

Insurance Advisor

Louisa joined Monarch Solutions in February 2013. She has a background in business administration and teaching math. Louisa and her husband, Jonathan, run a mixed martial arts gym in Roscoe, IL. With their free time, they enjoy traveling and going to the park with their dog, Lola.

Tiffany Hyde

SVP, Head of Underwriting

Tiffany heads up the Underwriting division at Monarch Solutions through Lion Street. In this role, Tiffany has oversight within the underwriting team and strategic initiatives in the Underwriting and New Business divisions. Her additional areas of expertise include reinsurance staging and negotiations, foreign nationals, complex medical history, advanced case design, product selection and premium finance. Tiffany has been active in the life insurance industry since 1990, serving in various underwriting leadership capacities for companies including Voya (formerly ING – Security Life of Denver), US Financial and Mutual of Omaha. She also brings vast medical knowledge from her previous career in nursing. Passionate about continuing education, Tiffany has earned her FALU designation and currently teaches underwriting courses of all levels for hundreds of field office staff. She specializes in training both internal and external key staff in field underwriting. Tiffany is active in several industry groups, including the ALU, where she served on the Seminar and Webinar Committee and Marketing Committee. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Insurance Medicine and a regular speaker and contributor on current events and trends in underwriting and the industry.

Palmer Klaas

Business Development

Palmer has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for over 40 years. As a seasoned veteran, he merged his insurance practice with Monarch Solutions in early 2019 and now enjoys a business development role within our team.

Rebecca Peterson

Personal Advisor

Rebecca joined Monarch Solutions in May 2016. She has a background in business and medical administration. Rebecca and her husband, Tim, have four children: Andrew (Becca), Jessica, Megan (Jake) and Joseph and three precious grandchildren: Juliana, Noah and Vienna. She was born and raised in Rockford and spends her free time with family or reading, boating, biking, traveling and Crossfit.

Julie Sandberg

Case Manager

Julie joined Monarch Solutions in April 2021. She worked at a Legislative Aide for a State Senator for 8 years. She also brings 14 years of insurance industry experience to Monarch. She is married and has one son. She enjoys being outdoors, working out, and spending time with friends and family.

Mary Schorsch

Administrative Assistant

Mary has lived in the Rockford area since 1992. She is married and has raised 3 children. She enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling, and all things related to family.

Nanette Brown

Administrative Assistant

Nanette joined our team in August 2020. She is a wife, mother of 4 grown sons, and grandmother of two. Her background is in education and finance. Her interests are reading, music, and history.

Megan Wold

Medicare & Health Insurance Adviser

Megan has been with Monarch Solutions since December 2019 and is a Health and Medicare advisor. She is married to her husband, Jake, and they have a daughter, Vienna. She enjoys traveling, writing, home renovations, and spending time with her family.
